Ace in-SPIRE’d ProAm at West Herts Golf Club

All eyes were on the 9th hole at West Herts Golf Club when Tony Lee’s golf ball, after tittering at the back of the cup for what seemed like minutes, dropped into the hole to give him his very first hole in one! Amateur golfer & 2 handicapper Tony of Northwood Golf Club, won himself an amazing golf trip for 4 to The Marriott Forest of Arden as part of the hole in one prize package sponsored by Spire Automotive in association with hole in one insurance providers Worldwide Hole ‘N One Ltd.

The event was expertly run by West Herts Vice Captain Lee Morgan & Jamie Little of Back9Events This years event produced not only 8 former European Tour winners in the Pros line-up including Ryder Cup star Paul Broadhurst, Tom Lewis, Philip Golding, Scott Drummond, Gary Emerson, Ross McGowan, Mike McLean and this years Madeira Islands Open Champion Daniel Brooks but also a complete sell out field of 30 teams consisting of 1 Tour Professional and 3 amateur golfers.

The West Herts GC Pro Am was extremely well supported again this year with main sponsors Fullers and Lavazza Coffee alongside MDI Motor Services and Spire Automotive who had 3 awesome cars on display by the 1st tee and a Mini Cooper Hatch up for grabs for the main hole in one prize!

As well as the hole in one there was an amazing triumph for Former European Tour Winner, Tom Lewis, who shot his way to top score of the day winning himself a cheque for £1,000. A fitting prize as Tom, from Welwyn Garden City, has been sponsored by Spire Automotive, Watford since he turned Pro, so more than one reason to be happy for all involved.
