Rugby Star Holes-in-one for a New Car!

Former Scotland Rugby Captain Kelly Brown is more used to hitting rucks and mauls than Hole In One’s, but that’s exactly what happened at the Co-op Classic taking place at Celtic Manor Golf Club.
“I’m just in shock” tweeted Kelly Brown.
Kelly’s tee shot at the 2nd Hole found the hole, and it just so happened that the 2nd hole was insured by Worldwide Hole In One, with a Land Rover worth £35,000 as the prize!
As well as a Land Rover, bonus cash prizes were available on the other par 3 holes – although all the good luck was used up on the 2nd and no other hole in ones occurred!
Mr Brown and his playing partners started the day on the course, and finished the day sipping champagne! Kelly recently hung up his boots and has taken up a coaching role at Saracens, maybe with a bit more free time he will be back hitting the fairways soon! Kelly retired from rugby after a glittering career, which saw him play over 100 times for Scotland!
Kelly isn’t the first sportsman outside of the Golf to nail a Hole In One, Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan aced at his Celebrity-Am Classic at TPC Sugarloaf!
Hole In One Prizes are a fantastic addition to charity and celeb-am golf events, creating a buzz on the tee, in the clubhouse, and online social media – great exposure a good cause!
