SPECIALIST Prize Car for a hole in one!

Lucky Nichola Goddard was given a MINI Countryman for the weekend courtesy of Specialist Cars for a hole in one she shot at Little Hay Golf Club, even though the prize had been up for grabs at an event weeks before at Harpenden Common Golf Club!

How did she manage that you are asking yourself? Well, as we all know the elusive hole-in-one is something that all golfers dream of achieving at least once in their playing lives or more for some if they are lucky. An Ace on a golf day, if covered by hole-in-one insurance could bring a car, holiday or even a cash prize to the lucky player.

The shot on the 8th hole, par 3 says Nichola, 13 handicaper, “was actually a really nice strike that was heading straight to the pin, rather than one of those fluke shots that bounces off a few bunkers and trickles in, which made it really nice”
Not so nice if a hole in one is scored during a medal day or in this instance the Ladies Invitational at Little Hay Golf Club the reward can prove to be less than a celebration. This was the case for Nichola who was obliged through golf tradition to buy a drink for everyone playing on the day, and as you can imagine there were quite a few to buy.

She light heartedly contacted Worldwide Hole ‘N One Ltd & Specialist Cars saying that she wished she’d scored her Ace at Harpenden Common just a few weeks earlier & how the WIN could have been so much more glorious.

Hearing of Nicholas plight, Michael Donavan, Dealer Principal of Specialist Cars Luton, Tring & Stevenage asked his Brand Manager, Tim Vershoyle to contact her to arrange a fitting prize for her achievement. She collected her MINI Countryman for the weekend, clubs firmly in the boot; she made the most of this generous & welcome prize.

A great reward for Nichola in the end & it just goes to show a hole-in-one can be so much sweeter with prize insurance on your side!
